Survey For Activity and Program Directors

Survey Participants Needed

Being able to give their clients what they want and need is the life blood of an entertainer's business.  We sometime run on hunches and have preconceived notions of what's most important to them.

To that point, we thought it would be a good idea to get the "inside scoop," and present an interactive survey to find out what's foremost on the minds of busy Activity and Program Directors, as well as Event Planners in general.

In this survey, which is accessible below, we are gathering data about the most important things that Activity Directors and Event Planners are concerned about when selecting musical talent and entertainment for their events.

This is an experiment in a number of ways.  I created the survey using Google Forms within the Google Drive section of our Google account.  There was a bit of a learning curve, and thought process planning it out, but once I got into the design aspect and see the functionality of the free tools that Google provides...I'm amazed, actually.

I recommend you check out Google Drive for yourself, when you have some free time of course!  LoL!  You have to have a gmail or Google account to get started.  And, there's a lot of really great tutorial videos on YouTube to help you figure it out.

Help me gather some data, share with your colleagues,
and let's see what we find out.

Entertainer Selection Survey for Event Planners

Help us get this out to the masses so we have some really well rounded results...not like the 2016 Oscars!!  With the help of Google, we will be tallying the results and plan on sharing our findings on this blog and on Facebook in early March.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out the video Samuel created where he reveals THE SECRET to how to get started playing the harmonica...the easy way?
We look forward to hearing from you with comments and suggestions.

"Have love for one another, and don't forget the others...until we see you again."

Stay tuned for more great tips for how to build a business with your talent and get paid to do what you love.

Adios for now!

Tips On How To Become A Better Singer

We hope these tips are helpful...especially for those musicians that are tired of playing in groups and want to break free and develop their gig as a soloist.  A good place to start...

Tip#1

Practice, practice, practice!

Tip #2

Record yourself
singing
.  The tools to use will depend on your budget, and the desired quality.  Some options and things I've used are my cell phone, a camcorder, a Boss Digital Recording Studio BR-900CD (for professional sound quality and output, with mulit-track recording).  There are many other options available, but these are a few that I have experience with.

The point of recording and playing back is so that you can hear yourself, and make the necessary adjustments, or at least know where you need to focus your energy to improve.

Tip #3

Ask your wife, husband, or a close friend for their opinion about how you sound.  Be humble and ready to accept constructive criticism.  (Don't ask yo' mama...she'll lie to you every time!)

Tip #4

Stay away from karaoke music because it's hard to find songs that fit with your natural singing voice.  The last thing you want to do is to strain when trying to keep up with the melody of a song that's in a key that is to high for your voice.  Skreeechh!

In a later post I will be telling you some techniques I've found that people use to change the key.

So...thanks for droppin' by.  I hope you can use this information on your journey.  Please share, like, comment, and tweet!

Most of all, "Have love for one another, and don't forget the others...until we see you again."
